Many of us use multiple accounts on different social networks every day, where we have a lot of information (contacts, photos, links, etc). Yet, few question what would we do if our account was deleted by mistake thinking it was spam or if you lose all social network accounts for any technical problems or attack on the same network. Rather, it is always better to have a backup just in case.
Here I share some tools to start making backup copies to several of our accounts in social networks.
TweetBackup
TweetBackup is a free application that allows you to backup your twitter account automatically. In addition, you need not save anything on your computer if you want because the backup is stored on your website. However, just allows you to download copies of your tweets into text.
ArchiveFacebook
ArchiveFacebook is a firefox extension that allows you to save the contents of your Facebook account to your hard drive. With this extension, you get a copy of your web pages with your facebook account pictures, messages, contacts, notes, events and groups.
FlickrEdit
FlickrEdit is a desktop application for Windows, Mac and Linux that lets you download all photos from your flickr account, as well as relevant information from the photos (title, description, tags and license). In addition, it lets you upload new photos directly from your desktop to flickr.
