SourceForge, the world’s largest development and download archives of Open Source code and applications seems firmly in the People’s Republic of China on the eve of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008. A screenshot of the http://www.sourceforge.net tracert shows that the problem is a router in China Telecom.

The current stalemate could be the recent anti-Chinese protests of Beijing Olympic Games, the 8th August began to be linked in Beijing. start named a few days ago, the author of a popular open-source code editor Notepad + + Source Forge for a boycott of Beijing in 2008, he stated that the action is not against the Chinese people but against state repression, China in 2008 unrest in Tibet. The boycott is certainly a political issue, but refers to rights problems in China.

Is that the reason for blocking? Chinese authorities regularly block access to objectionable Web sites it finds, including those dealing with politically sensitive issues. This is what we were. Blocked.
